Job summary
Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Senior Lead I&C Engineer to provide technical leadership for instrumentation and controls at a new nuclear fuel facility. The role focuses on control system design, safety-related controls, PLC/DCS/SIS integration, instrument specifications, logic development, and deliverables across nuclear and DOE environments.
The position requires directing design work, coordinating controls interfaces across engineering disciplines, and guiding implementation
Qualifications
- The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and 10+ years of I&C engineering experience.
- Experience leading design work and coordinating complex controls interfaces across multiple disciplines.
- Knowledge of hazardous locations, safety-related controls, and regulatory interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Lead I&C design activities for process and safety-related controls and facility systems.
- Develop and review control narratives, instrument specs, loop diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Coordinate PLC, DCS, SIS, HMI, and SCADA design activities across teams.
- Support safety basis interfaces, process safety reviews, and operability reviews.
- Ensure quality, schedule alignment, and clear communication with leadership.
