Job summary

Duke Energy's Instrumentation & Control Design Engineering team at Oconee Nuclear Station seeks experienced Nuclear Engineers to modernize a three-unit plant delivering carbon-free electricity to the Carolinas.

In this role, you will apply established engineering experience to develop and deliver solutions that support continued operation into the 2050s, ranging from targeted component upgrades to major digital control-system replacements.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical judgment and ownership of increasingly complex engineering work.
• Ability to independently manage project schedules and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support plant modifications involving instrumentation and controls, AC/DC power and control systems, digital hardware, software-based applications, plant computer interfaces, control circuits, and cybersecurity-related design requirements.
• Complete Responsible Engineer training and qualification program; serve as primary technical owner for assigned modifications through design, planning, installation, testing, turnover, and closeout.
