Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation seeks an engineer to develop technical scope and design basis for nuclear plant engineering changes, focusing on instrumentation, control, relaying, and digital systems. You will analyze problems, prepare documentation, and manage project interfaces throughout system design, walkdowns, and modifications.

The role requires ABET-accredited engineering degrees and nuclear experience; unescorted site access is needed.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering bachelor’s degree required or a qualifying master’s degree.
• 4+ years of engineering experience; 1 year in nuclear power preferred.
• Senior level requires 6+ years’ experience, or 5+ years with PE registration, plus 1 year nuclear experience.
• Must be able to obtain unescorted site access and meet nuclear personnel qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical scope, design basis, installation and testing requirements for nuclear plant engineering changes.
• Analyze and resolve engineering problems and prepare technical documentation.
• Manage project activities and interfaces, supporting system design, plant walkdowns and modification implementation.
