Job summary

Barry‑Wehmiller Design Group in Texas seeks an Instrumentation and Controls engineer to lead the I&C scope for BMS and EPMS at greenfield data centers in Abilene and Haskell. You will oversee engineering, procurement, system integration, checkout, and commissioning of instrumentation and control elements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years startup experience, 75% on-site time, and willingness to travel or relocate near sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience starting up control systems with significant onsite time.
• Willing to travel 100% or relocate near sites (relocation assistance offered).
• Strong communicator and ability/desire to work within large teams.
• Experience with BMS and EPMS commissioning highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy BMS and EPMS on multiple greenfield data centers.
• Lead point-to-point checkout of thousands of devices onsite.
• Configure communication protocols for equipment such as switchgear and breakers.
• Calibrate instruments and deploy Ignition applications.
• Provide guidance to Design Group subcontractors onsite.
