Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7+ years of professional aerospace engineering experience.
• Experience leading projects from concept through implementation.
• Experience in hypersonic aerodynamic design and high-speed flight analysis.
• Strong understanding of hypersonic environments, aerothermal analysis, and TPS materials.
• Experience with CFD and related tools (STAR-CCM+, FUN3D, MATLAB, Python).
• Must be a U.S. person for export-control compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead or co-own aerodynamic and aerothermal design for hypersonic and atmospheric entry vehicles.
• Predict and analyze aerodynamic heating environments and perform higher-fidelity analysis as needed.
• Develop and evaluate Thermal Protection System concepts and materials.
• Perform trajectory-informed aerothermal environment prediction and vehicle performance assessments.
• Collaborate with structures, materials, and propulsion teams to close trades.
• Build engineering models, run trade studies, and document assumptions for reviews.
• Establish and support ground aerothermal/TPS test approaches and flight-test planning.
