Job summary

Stratolaunch in Mojave, CA is seeking a level II or Sr-level Test Engineer to support environmental testing of Talon hypersonic vehicle programs. You will plan, execute, and analyze environmental tests on avionics components, coordinating tests across ground and flight systems.

The role emphasizes failure analysis, test instrumentation, and compliance with DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental testing and aerospace systems.
• Experience with electrical and software aspects of avionics.
• Strong communication with test stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create environmental test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Participate in environmental tests onsite and offsite.
• Support test execution via scheduling and travel to test houses.
• Perform failure analysis and generate recovery plans for test failures.
• Maintain and operate environmental test equipment such as vibration tables and thermal chambers.
• Design and support environmental test instrumentation systems.
