Job summary

KODA Technologies is seeking a Principal Hypersonic Flight Test Engineer to support DoD-wide initiatives and rapidly mature critical hypersonic technologies. This senior role requires leading test activities, coordinating with government and industry partners, and ensuring readiness across test campaigns.

The successful candidate will oversee test planning, resources, and execution, mentor teams, and travel up to 20% to government facilities and test ranges as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field required.
• 15+ years of flight test engineering or weapon system development experience.
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
• Strong planning, coordination, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent technical communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support customers in developing test plans, FYDP activities, and test ranges.
• Develop test plans, IMS schedules, and advise on test readiness.
• Interface with government/prime contractor customers and range organizations.
• Coordinate test venues, resources, and participants across DoD.
• Interpret pre-test margin and range safety analyses for awareness.
• Prepare test execution products and coordinate analyses.
• Assess technology level of experiments and launch vehicles, make recommendations.
• Assemble and lead test teams, conduct training, and execute tests.
