Job summary

North Wind is seeking a highly skilled Aero/Thermal Engineer with a solid background in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics to design, develop, and validate fluid dynamic systems, components, and devices for ground test facilities.

You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, high-quality solutions, provide analyses and trade studies for quotations, and travel for design reviews, site surveys, and commissioning as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerodynamics, aeronautics, aeroacoustics, heat transfer, or a related field.
• 7+ years of aerospace, hypersonic systems, or test facility design experience.
• Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide design solutions and analyses for aerodynamic, fluid dynamic, and thermodynamic systems.
• Support quotations with trade-offs and recommendations.
• Perform field surveys and commissioning for facilities and components.
• Assist in selecting process equipment for customer facilities.
• Develop and present technical information in meetings and reviews.
• Willing to travel for design reviews, conferences, and site work.

Education

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerodynamics, aeronautics, aeroacoustic, heat transfer or related discipline
