Job summary

NPAworldwide seeks a senior electrical design leader to guide the design of hyperscale data centers in Illinois. You will lead the electrical design effort, coordinate with project teams, field personnel, and clients to deliver work on scope, budget, and schedule onsite five days a week.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering with 11+ years of relevant experience, including hyperscale centers (≥40 MW).

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 11+ years of related experience.
• Experience on hyperscale data centers (≥40 MW) required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM; strong client communication skills.
• Able to work onsite five days per week; a PE license is preferred or actively pursued.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for hyperscale data centers and coordinate with project teams, field personnel, and clients to deliver work on scope, budget, and schedule.
• Assess design risks related to redundancy and resiliency.
• Survey existing facilities and prepare and review engineering deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
