Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a senior hydromechanical engineer to lead projects involving dams, canals, levees, and other water infrastructure. You will oversee technical analyses, designs, and construction documents, while guiding mid-level staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet scope, schedules, and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Water Resources or closely related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant post-education experience in water resources engineering.
  • EIT or EI in any state, with qualifying years toward PE exam and licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior hydromechanical engineer on dams, hydraulic structures, canals, levees, pump stations, and related water infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and oversee engineering analyses, designs, calculations, plans, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
  • Manage project tasks within scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives while maintaining billability and productivity.
  • Coordinate technical activities, track progress, identify risks, and assist with planning and execution.
  • Conduct engineering reviews of designs, calculations, and permit applications for quality and compliance.
