Job summary

Hgen is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Los Angeles, CA to own planning and execution of the electrolyzer stack, balance of plant, and tooling. You will collaborate with design engineers to ensure scalable production and efficient manufacture.

This role emphasizes cross-functional coordination, creating detailed work instructions, and optimizing layouts to accelerate rate production in a fast-paced startup environment focused on decarbonization.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and executing complex mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to write clear work instructions and test procedures.
• Proven track record in building scalable manufacturing processes for mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across design, supply chain, and production to execute the build process.
• Author work instructions and processes to enable interdisciplinary teams to build effectively while maintaining quality.
• Manage production priorities, provide technical direction, and support team development.
• Support manufacturing and assembly shop layouts; design tooling to improve consistency and rate.
• Drive process improvements across system and subsystem level builds.
