Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to own and expand the SCADA system for hydrogen generation, compression, storage, and dispensing equipment at customer locations. You will develop base programs and remotely manage the active fleet, optimizing performance and reducing downtime.

The role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams to meet performance requirements and enhance reliability, requiring travel up to 20% and a strong technical foundation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 5+ years in relevant controls/automation roles for field applications preferred.
• Experience with gas processing or refueling systems preferred.
• Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems.
• Ability to travel as needed up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy software for hydrogen generation, compression, storage, and dispensing systems.
• Create/manage HMIs and PLCs for field deployments.
• Handle data acquisition and interpretation across systems.
