Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead software solutions for hydrogen generation, storage, and dispensing systems.

You will design and deploy HMI/PLC programs, manage data from the fleet, and optimize control strategies to improve reliability and performance across customer sites. The role requires five+ years in HMI/PLC development for field applications, with Schneider and Allen-Bradley expertise.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work history with HMI & PLC solutions for field applications.
• Gas processing/refueling systems experience preferred.
• Experience with PLC Programming – Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Flow Charts.
• HMI programming with Schneider/Citect, Vijeo, Unity, Modicon; Allen-Bradley tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy software for hydrogen generation, compression, storage, and dispensing systems focusing on process control and system performance.
• Create and manage HMIs and PLC programs.
• Manage data acquisition and interpretation of system information.
• Lead software deployments for H2 infrastructure and provide field training.
