Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and complete overhauls of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders. You will ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards, troubleshoot, and test components for proper operation.

The role requires 3–5 years of hydraulics experience, strong schematic reading skills, and precision measurement ability.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years repairing hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves.
Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics and data sheets.
Experience with hydraulic shop diagnostics and testing.
Strong attention to detail and precision measurements.
Ability to read and speak English, communicate with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced diagnostics, tear down, and overhaul of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders.
Interpret complex hydraulic schematics and technical data to identify issues.
Assemble components and test hydraulic systems to manufacturer specs.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time.
Operate precision measuring tools and shop machines (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
Adhere to safety standards and housekeeping duties.
May assist in other areas of hydraulic shop as needed.
