Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a maintenance mechanic to repair and service heavy equipment in a safe, compliant manner. You will perform scheduled maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical issues, and handle emergency repairs as needed, while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires 1-2 years of experience, familiarity with repair manuals and schematics, and good communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of applicable experience required.
• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of heavy equipment in a safe manner in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Service equipment per maintenance schedules or daily inspection reports.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Perform emergency repairs on breakdowns.
• Inspect, lubricate, fuel and service equipment; check/change fluids and filters.
• Inspect and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, air and brake systems.
• Maintain accurate repair orders, parts usage, and repair times in a computerized system.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
