Job summary

Qualifications

• 7 or more years of experience as a member of a project team.
• Design experience incorporating client requirements and EPRI recommendations.
• Experience writing support documentation for engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cost analyses and development of design criteria.
• Design underground transmission lines for voltages up to 500kV.
• Direct a small project team of other engineers and designers.

Skills

Proficiency with CYMCAP modeling

Proficiency with cable tensioning calculations and/or software

7+ years of experience on underground transmission projects

Design experience incorporating code requirements

Experience with XLPE cable design

Knowledge of design techniques and tools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail

Familiarity with design codes and standards

Proficiency with MS Office applications

Education

BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
