Job summary

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to drive design and delivery of hybrid infrastructure, including on‑prem and cloud environments with large-scale NFS and S3 storage systems.

You will mentor engineers, translate enterprise designs into reusable patterns, and lead cross‑team initiatives to ensure 5‑9s availability and robust production stability across Disney's media platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 7+ years in systems/infrastructure engineering.
Expertise with hybrid on-prem + cloud environments and large-scale storage systems.
Strong automation, IaC, and CI/CD practices; leadership across complex initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of hybrid infrastructure systems focused on origin storage and related platforms.
Translate architectural designs into scalable deployment patterns across on‑prem and cloud environments.
Identify critical metrics and drive improvements across all platforms to achieve high availability.
Deliver migrations and modernization initiatives while maintaining reliability and performance.
Mentor engineers and act as a technical leader across multi‑team projects.
