Job summary
Applied Information Sciences is seeking a Senior Virtualization Administrator to join AIS on a federal consolidation bid. The role centers on VMware vSphere, ESXi, Windows Server environments, storage, backups, and hybrid-cloud integration within secure government infrastructure.
You will lead automation with PowerShell, optimize performance, drive disaster recovery planning, ensure high availability, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver compliant, scalable, and reliable infrastructure
Qualifications
- Senior-level experience with vSphere (min version 6.7) and ESXi administration.
- Proficient in Windows Server administration and backups (Veeam).
- Strong scripting (PowerShell) and automation experience.
- Experience with NetApp storage and SAN environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize VMware vSphere/ESXi environment for high availability.
- Manage Windows Server environments (2019/2022/2025) and tuning.
- Configure backups and snapshot policies; monitor storage and DR solutions.
- Automate provisioning and operations with PowerShell scripts.
- Support cloud migration and infrastructure consolidation into cloud.
- Ensure security, disaster recovery, and regulatory-compliant operations.
