Job summary

Centurion Consulting Group is seeking a Platform Engineer to architect, deploy, and manage on-premises VMware-based programs and AWS GovCloud. The role spans hybrid infrastructure, security hardening, and AI/ML readiness, with emphasis on automation via Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.

You will lead modernization efforts, run Kubernetes fleets, and ensure compliance under NIST 800-53 and FISMA while collaborating in an agile, Jira-driven team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in supporting enterprise-grade ESXi servers and VMware server software.
• Experience designing, planning, testing, implementing, supporting and troubleshooting large VMware installations
• Expert knowledge of ESXi server implementations and operations, VLAN, VMC, primary, secondary data center operations and hybrid cloud implementations
• Experience with Aria Automation, Aria Orchestrator and Aria Operations
• Experience with Powershell/Powercli scripting
• On-premises data center and AWS GovCloud experience
• Kubernetes fleet management experience (VKS, EKS, Mirantis)
• VMware vSphere administration and cluster management
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls and FISMA compliance frameworks
• Experience with security engineering, audit logging, and monitoring tools
• Application modernization and containerization experience
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure and services
• GitLab and Jira experience
• VMware or Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)
• Experience in financial services or federal government environments

Responsibilities

We’re seeking a talented Platform Engineer to help architect, deploy, and manage our on-premises Virtual Cloud (VMware) platforms, our AWS Cloud platforms while supporting emerging AI capabilities, modern containerized workloads, and enterprise virtualization environments.

What You’ll Do
