Job summary

Seyfarth Shaw LLP seeks an experienced Infrastructure Architect to plan, implement, and maintain a hybrid Azure and on‑premises infrastructure across multiple data centers. You will collaborate with the Technical Architecture team to ensure reliability and security while supporting a mobile workforce.

Responsibilities include provisioning, patching, migration, disaster recovery planning, and storage upgrades. A strong background in VMware/Hyper-V/Nutanix and SAN storage is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years with Hypervisor and Azure design/administration in a senior role.
• Proven ability to manage all aspects of Microsoft Azure cloud tenants: Entra ID, Enterprise Apps, Conditional Access, Azure compute/storage, data center resources.
• At least 6 years' experience with hypervisor platforms (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper‑V) and deployment/configuration/troubleshooting.
• 6+ years' experience with enterprise server platforms (Cisco UCS, HPE).
• 6+ years' experience with enterprise SAN and cloud storage management.
• Experience designing/operating hybrid on‑premises with Azure cloud services.
• Experience implementing and managing vSphere, vCenter, Site Recovery Manager.
• Demonstrated ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement changes for reliability, performance, or security.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support on‑premises, hybrid, and Azure infrastructure environments, including provisioning, patching, migration, monitoring, optimization, and decommissioning.
• Assist design and upgrade of enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, Azure storage).
• Design and support highly available solutions across data centers and Azure regions to meet business continuity needs.
• Specify, architect, and deliver on‑premises and Azure‑based infrastructure projects.
• Monitor servers, storage, and Azure; maintain documentation and inventory; analyze performance data.
• Research and implement Azure-based infrastructure enhancements for secure, mobile workforce and agile development.
• Provide operational support including reporting, change coordination, off-hours maintenance, and after-hours support.
• Share knowledge with Senior Architect and Operations team.
• Ensure integrity of replication between data centers.
• Provide regular reports for all environments.
• Coordinate project work with Technical Architecture team and change management procedures.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance as required.
