Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead and mentor teams across on-prem and cloud platforms. You will establish an Architecture Center of Excellence, publish reusable patterns, and translate technical concepts into strategic business decisions.

You will drive hybrid cloud programs spanning datacenters, GCP, AWS, and Azure, and guide migrations between VMware and OpenShift Virtualization. Strong leadership and cloud-automation expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Expert-level experience designing, building and operating large-scale on-prem datacenters.
• Deep knowledge of server hardware lifecycle and complex storage fabrics.
• Hands-on with VMware vSphere/vCenter/vSAN and OpenShift Virtualization, KubeVirt.
• Proven ability to lead migrations between VMware and OpenShift Virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage, mentor, and inspire Architects and senior engineers.
• Lead architecture center of excellence and publish reusable patterns.
• Design, document, and publish reference architectures and blueprints.
• Translate engineering concepts into business strategy and present to executives.
• Architect hybrid cloud ecosystems across datacenters, GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Build and test infrastructure automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash).
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and security gates.
• Oversee Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux (RHEL), and kernel tuning.
• Govern large-scale cloud migration programs and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Lead transitions between VMware and OpenShift Virtualization.
