Job summary

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer to support a Sponsor office managing hybrid-cloud mission infrastructure and services in AWS and on-premises data centers.

The role requires 5+ years in systems engineering, expertise with Windows/Linux, VMware NSX-T, Active Directory, and security baselines (DISA STIGs). TS/SCI with polygraph is required for clearance. Competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering, infrastructure operations, and multi-tier support in federal or enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server administration and virtualization.
• Experience delivering Tier 2–4 engineering support and complex problem resolution for enterprise IT environments.
• Proven track record implementing DISA STIGs and governing security baselines across large IT ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering efforts across Windows and Linux servers, storage, and virtualization.
• Provide Tier 2–4 engineering support, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution in a 24/7 environment.
• Maintain and configure virtualization infrastructure (VMware vCenter/NSX-T) and automation solutions.
• Manage core services (AD, DNS, DFS, DHCP), and operate data centers with capacity planning and hardware lifecycle tasks.
• Coordinate risk assessments, schedules, and cross-team issue resolution.
• Track performance and utilization metrics; alert when thresholds are reached.
• Handle service requests and changes using ServiceNow.
