Job summary

FirstBank PR is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to lead planning, design, and governance of on‑premises and hybrid infrastructure to meet business and security requirements. The role develops architecture blueprints and roadmaps across compute, storage, networking, and shared services.

You will translate business needs into secure, scalable solutions, drive automation and IaC patterns, collaborate with cybersecurity and operations, and guide engineering teams through architectural decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field.
• Six to ten years of IT infrastructure design and implementation experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or OCI) and hybrid connectivity.
• Knowledge of scripting and IaC tools (PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Define target infrastructure architecture and standards.
• Design on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Translate requirements into infrastructure specifications and assess options.
• Define workload placement and cloud foundations with teams.
• Develop capacity models and performance requirements.
• Establish infrastructure‑as‑code patterns and automation.
