Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc in Raleigh, North Carolina, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large HVDC projects end-to-end with full P&L responsibility, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and guiding customer interactions.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and risk while traveling to sites monthly and ensuring contract compliance and lessons learned in a multicultural environment that reflects Hitachi Energy values.

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering.
• 10+ years of delivering turn-key projects in energy & power industry (FEED through commissioning).
• PMP (PMI) project management certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead large HVDC EPC projects (500M+ USD) end-to-end with full P&L responsibility including construction, mechanical & electrical scope.
• Manage project team with clear direction, align with customer requirements and targets (tech, safety, quality, financial).
• Oversee planning: scope, budget, schedule, risks.
• Monitor cost control, resource efficiency, and HSE compliance.
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Travel to job sites at least monthly.
• Oversee contract amendments, variation orders and claims in collaboration with contracts, supply chain and legal.
