Tech24 is seeking a Senior HVAC/R Technician in Des Moines to act as a lead technical expert, handling advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and mentoring junior technicians while upholding high safety, efficiency, and customer service standards.

The ideal candidate brings extensive commercial HVAC/R experience and strong troubleshooting capability, with independence and professionalism in representing Tech24.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• CFESA credentials are a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform advanced electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
• Lead installations, system replacements, and equipment commissioning.
• Identify root causes and recommend long-term solutions.
• Mentor and support Junior Technicians and apprentices.
• Ensure preventative maintenance is completed to company standards.
• Communicate clearly with customers about system conditions and maintenance strategies.
• Accurately document service calls, parts usage, and labor hours.
