Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver technical training to customers and employees on Copeland Commercial and Residential Cold Chain Electronics components and systems used in the HVAC/R industry. The senior trainer collaborates with subject matter experts and Product Managers to ensure learning objectives are met.

You will stay current with technology and industry trends, provide coaching to junior staff, and serve as the lead contact at training events.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience as an HVACR technician, wholesaler, educator or equivalent HVACR industry role
• Experience with Residential controls and components
• Ability to travel 60-70%
• Ability to present to groups and facilitate learning programs
• Skilled in providing customer service
• Ability to communicate effectively - verbally and in writing
• Proficient in technology - Microsoft Suite of Products; PC's, Mobile Devices
• Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
• Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Responsibilities

• Deliver curricula using instructor-led, electronic/web-based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats
• Conduct standard and custom classes per customer requirements
• Follow good pedagogy practices for teaching adults
• Coordinate the development of course material to cover learning objectives; adjust learning objectives accordingly
• Evaluate training material for improvements
• Continue self-study to understand all technologies that are part of the curricula
• Participate in engineering and product planning sessions
• Participate in industry related forums to ensure accuracy of technical information
• Train and mentor training specialists
