Job summary

EMCOR Government Services in Bethesda, Maryland seeks an HVAC Mechanic to operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on base building HVAC and related equipment.

The shift runs Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm under the Local 99 collective bargaining agreement. Candidates must have a Journeyman or Master HVAC License, a formal apprenticeship, and a Top-Secret clearance, with strong diagnostic and teamwork skills for critical facility support.

Qualifications

• Must have a CFC Certification.
• Journeyman or Master HVAC License.
• Formal apprenticeship with 4+ years of training.
• 5+ years of journeyman experience in servicing equipment.
• Must obtain or possess a Top-Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Installs, services and repairs environment-control systems in commercial buildings.
• Performs HVAC/Mechanical trades to install, maintain and repair fixtures and systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC/Mechanical systems.
• Reads ladder and line wiring diagrams.
• Assist estimators with HVAC layout within building environment.
• Maintain paperwork and manage refrigeration/parts inventory.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
