Job summary

SAS is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician to support its Facilities Team on-site in Cary, North Carolina. The role involves maintenance, diagnostics and repair of commercial HVAC/R systems, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will work independently or with peers to resolve complex issues and support building operations. Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of HVAC/R experience, Type II refrigeration certification, and familiarity with 3-phase electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Commercial HVAC/R mechanical service, maintenance and repair.
• Type II refrigeration handling certification.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) designation for Pool Operations positions or training completion within 12 months.
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repair of a variety of Commercial HVAC/R equipment including cooling towers, chillers, boilers, rooftop units, VAVs, air handlers and related controls.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as filter changes, coil cleaning, belt adjustments and refrigerant charge checks.
• Handle customer service requests and indoor air quality issues using building management systems.
• Perform hot work and major sealed system component replacements as needed.
• Oversee contracted vendors to ensure quality work and proper documentation.
