Job summary

Service Experts is hiring an HVAC service technician in Columbia, MD to diagnose, service, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems. You will communicate with customers, promote services, and resolve issues with minimal supervision while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional training and 4+ years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification required.
• Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by laws for the geographical work area.
• EPA and safety certifications required.
• Proficient at servicing heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment and related accessories.

Responsibilities

• Works under minimal supervision to perform residential and/or light commercial service and maintenance calls.
• Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner.
• Diagnoses and performs services on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment and accessories.
• Inspects equipment and performs diagnostics to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed or required.
• Delivery and removal of parts and equipment needed to complete service work.
• Records all required information on a handheld device; completes forms timely and accurately; collects payment.
• Communicates with dispatch to ensure accurate status reports of activities and availability.
• Delivers excellent customer service and sustains high customer satisfaction.
• Promotes products and services and generates replacement product sales leads.
• Ensures company property and tools are maintained and accounted for.
• Represents the company professionally and ethically.
• Follows procedures; ensures vehicle is stocked and parts are replenished.
• Performs similar/other duties as needed; maintains regular attendance.
