Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Richmond, VA is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician III to service commercial and industrial equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and air handling systems. You will participate in training programs and lead the rebuilds and retrofits with Level I and II technicians.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repair, warranty service, equipment performance analysis, and clear communication with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or HVAC certification is preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred; EPA Universal Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment and components.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Analyze chiller data to ensure optimal performance.
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits for commercial HVAC equipment and mentor levels I/II.
• Record billing, inventory, time cards, and related reports.
• Explain technical information to customers in clear terms.
• Ensure safety policies and clean work area compliance.
