Job summary

Lubbock County is seeking a Master HVAC/R technician to supervise shop personnel and prioritize daily HVAC projects across facilities. Responsibilities include maintenance planning, emergencies, and coordinating with engineers and contractors to ensure project quality and timely completion.

Candidates must have extensive HVAC/R knowledge, a minimum of 10 years leading multiple projects and 5 years of direct supervision, plus a valid Texas Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of experience with HVAC/R systems.
• Minimum 10 years of experience leading teams on multiple jobs or projects, with 5 years of direct supervision.
• A valid Texas Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily prioritization and assignment of ongoing HVAC projects.
• Perform quality control and reviews of technicians’ work; monitor hours charged to jobs.
• Coordinate with engineers and contractors to ensure project quality and on-time completion.
• Develop and assist in designing HVAC/R projects using blueprints and specs; plan bids.
