Job summary

Upchurch is seeking an HVAC Superintendent to lead field execution on commercial and industrial HVAC projects. You will oversee foremen, craft labor, and subcontractors, coordinating schedules, materials, and safety programs to meet deadlines and budget while upholding Upchurch's quality standards.

Applicants should bring 7+ years in HVAC/MEP construction with leadership, strong reading of drawings, and a proven track record in safety, scheduling, and cost control.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of HVAC, mechanical, or MEP construction experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience leading commercial or industrial HVAC projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, equipment installation, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and coordination documents.
• Proven leadership, communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and project performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise HVAC and mechanical construction activities in the field.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project schedules.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure scope compliance.
• Develop and maintain short-term schedules and installation plans.
• Monitor labor productivity, project costs, and installation quality.
• Coordinate HVAC work with electrical, plumbing, controls, fire protection, and other trades.
• Lead safety initiatives, conduct site observations, and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Support procurement, material planning, and equipment deliveries.
• Assist with shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Oversee startup, testing, balancing, commissioning, punch list, and turnover activities.
• Maintain daily reports and communicate project progress, risks, and resource needs.
• Mentor and develop foremen and field personnel.
