Job summary

AIRSYS North America is seeking an experienced HVAC Applications Engineer to join the EdgeOne team, supporting advanced HVAC and cooling solutions for commercial, industrial, data center, and mission-critical applications. This senior technical role focuses on solution architecture and design validation in collaboration with Sales, engineering, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with HVAC systems in commercial/industrial/data center environments.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, performance, controls, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs, and documentation.
• Strong technical communication skills for customers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop technically sound HVAC and cooling solutions with Sales and Business Development.
• Evaluate operating conditions, performance requirements, and configurations to optimize solutions.
• Provide technical inputs during customer meetings, presales, proposals, and presentations.
• Review narratives, performance assumptions, system specs, and risk assessments.
• Explain proposed technical solutions to customers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Review HVAC designs, equipment submittals, floor plans, and drawings for accuracy and performance.
• Evaluate cooling performance, redundancy, reliability, and controls integration.
• Guide on mechanical, electrical, and piping interfaces and monitoring.
• Identify design or application challenges and propose solutions.
• Act as a technical escalation resource for complex HVAC applications.
• Participate in site surveys, startups, and commissioning as needed.
• Support troubleshooting of performance issues, alarms, and operations.
• Provide technical oversight for validation and warranty sign-off.
