- Prepare and review technical narratives, performance assumptions, system specifications, and risk assessments.
- Present and explain proposed technical solutions to customers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
System Design & Technical Validation
- Review HVAC system designs, equipment submittals, floor plans, and shop drawings for accuracy, compliance, and performance.
- Evaluate cooling system performance, redundancy, operational reliability, and controls integration.
- Provide guidance on mechanical, electrical, piping, ductwork, control systems, and monitoring interfaces.
- Identify potential design or application challenges and recommend solutions.
- Serve as a technical escalation resource for complex or non-standard HVAC applications.
Technical Support & Commissioning
- Participate in critical site surveys, system startups, and commissioning activities when senior technical expertise is required.
- Support troubleshooting of complex HVAC system performance issues, alarms, and operational challenges.
- Provide technical oversight and support for system validation and warranty sign-off activities.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Develop and maintain engineering guidelines, application notes, technical documentation, and installation standards.
- Support technical training for internal sales teams, customers, and business partners.
- Collaborate across departments to improve technical solutions, product applications, and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience working with HVAC systems in commercial, industrial, data center, or mission-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, system performance, controls, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate engineering drawings, technical specifications, and system documentation.
- Strong technical communication skills, including the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to customers and non-technical stakeholders.

Especially Relevant Experience
- HVAC applications engineering or technical sales support.
- Complex HVAC system integration, redundancy, and controls.
