Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician I in Austin, TX, onsite. You will work on commercial and industrial equipment, including rooftops, chillers, and boilers, with comprehensive training programs and growth opportunities.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, repair, and customer communication, with safety and certification requirements supported by the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• HVAC certificate from an associate or technical school preferred.
• 0–2 years of related work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (provided during onboarding).
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• Commercial HVAC experience preferred.
• First aid/CPR card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines and cleaning.
• Assist repair and replacement of components for fan coils, AHUs, rooftops, boilers, etc.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
• Assist with warranty service by inspecting and testing systems.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and reports in a timely manner.
• Explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in training and maintain required certifications.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety policies.
