Job summary

Daikin Applied in Raleigh, NC is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician III to service a range of commercial and industrial equipment, including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and heat pumps. You will perform maintenance, diagnose issues, and lead junior technicians as needed.

The role offers comprehensive training, mentorship, and opportunities to handle advanced systems while maintaining safety standards. Travel may be required, and you’ll work under OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or HVAC cert preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility.
• EPA Universal Technician certification preferred; OSHA 10 preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring for fan coils, chillers, water source heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers, and condensers.
• Inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and analyze chiller trend data for performance.
• Perform warranty service inspections to verify functionality.
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits; guide Levels I and II technicians with hands‑on training.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and other reports timely.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences; report to customers.
• Participate in training and maintain required certifications; uphold safety standards.
• Ensure clean work areas and compliance with OSHA/Daikin policies; occasional overnight travel.
