Job summary

Elmar Heating & Cooling is seeking a Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our residential service team in the Greater Baltimore area. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC systems while delivering top-notch customer service.

Qualifications

5+ years of residential HVAC service and repair experience.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Experience servicing conventional HVAC systems, heat pumps, and gas furnaces.
Experience diagnosing and repairing ductless mini-split systems.
EPA Universal Certification.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
Ability to explain technical findings and recommend appropriate solutions without high-pressure sales tactics.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, maintain, and repair residential HVAC equipment while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems.
Troubleshoot conventional air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and air handlers.
Service and troubleshoot ductless mini-split systems, including single-zone and multi-zone equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance, system inspections, and performance evaluations.
Diagnose electrical, refrigerant, airflow, and mechanical problems.
Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
Educate homeowners on maintenance plans, repair options, and system improvements.
Identify qualifying opportunities for new HVAC system installations.
Complete accurate service documentation and communicate findings clearly.
Follow manufacturer specifications, safety procedures, and applicable codes.
Provide technical guidance to less-experienced technicians when needed.
Maintain professional relationships with customers and represent Elmar Heating & Cooling with integrity.
