Job summary

LG Electronics North America is seeking a Staff HVAC Regulatory Compliance Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to monitor building codes and ensure our air-conditioning products meet energy and safety standards. You will lead code interpretation, coordinate with testing labs, and collaborate with product teams.

The role requires 5+ years in HVAC regulatory compliance, deep knowledge of IECC, ASHRAE, NEC, and NFPA, and hands-on testing with UL/CSA/AHRI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in HVAC regulatory compliance
• Deep knowledge of IECC, ASHRAE, NEC, and NFPA
• Hands-on experience with testing/certification programs (UL, CSA, AHRI, ETL)
• Ability to write technical documentation that is clear and code-cited
• Bilingual Korean and English preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret building code standards to support product compliance and application.
• Identify and communicate code requirements that influence product design and development.
• Coordinate with testing labs (UL, Intertek, CSA, AHRI) to certify against energy and safety standards.
• Serve as primary interface with code committees and industry associations and translate deliberations into internal roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Product Support Engineering to strengthen code-application knowledge.
• Develop external materials (white papers, articles, presentations, webinars) to position products as code-forward.
