LG Electronics seeks a Staff Regulatory Compliance Engineer to stay current with building codes and their impact on LG Airconditioning Technologies products. You will help ensure code-compliant design, testing, and documentation across multiple jurisdictions.

With 5+ years in HVAC regulatory compliance, you will coordinate with testing labs (UL, CSA, AHRI, ETL) and collaborate with product teams to translate codes into actionable plans, reports, and roadmaps for market readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC regulatory compliance experience in high-volume HVAC categories.
• Deep knowledge of IECC, ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA; navigate state/local amendments.
• Hands-on testing and certification program management (UL, CSA, AHRI, ETL).
• Strong writing skills for technical documentation read by peers.
• Collaborates cross-functionally with product, engineering and sales teams.
• Bilingual Korean and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze building code standards to support product application and compliance.
• Identify code requirements that influence product design and development.
• Monitor regulatory changes across jurisdictions and maintain calendars.
• Interface with code committees and trade associations, translate to internal roadmaps.
• Collaborate with testing labs to certify against energy and safety standards.
• Develop external materials—white papers, articles, webinars—on code compliance.
