Job summary

LG Electronics USA is seeking a Staff Regulatory Compliance Engineer to monitor building code changes and ensure LG Airconditioning Technologies products meet energy and safety standards.

You will lead code-committee interactions, coordinate with testing labs, and develop technical materials while collaborating with Product Support Engineering. Bilingual Korean/English preferred; strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC regulatory compliance experience.
• Deep knowledge of IECC, ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA and amendments.
• Hands-on testing/certification program management (UL/CSA/AHRI/ETL).
• Strong building code and regulatory standards knowledge.
• Ability to write technical, code-cited documentation.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Korean-English bilingual is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret building code standards to support product compliance.
• Identify code requirements influencing product design and development.
• Monitor regulatory changes across jurisdictions and maintain calendars.
• Interface with code committees and industry associations; translate deliberations into roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Product Support Engineering to strengthen code knowledge.
• Develop external materials—white papers, articles, presentations, webinars.
• Manage end-to-end compliance dossiers; coordinate with labs to certify products.
