Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician to support and repair Refrigeration HVAC systems at our Manchester, CT facility. This full-time role requires hands-on experience with commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment in a retail environment.

You will manage work orders, respond to emergencies, inspect facilities, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working at heights when needed.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR and good driving record.
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent.
• Option 1: 3 years’ HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience.
• Option 2: 6 years’ HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration with AAS in A/C & refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Use work order system to receive and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect and diagnose facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Complete required safety and training for equipment use.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines; lift up to 75 pounds.
