Job summary

Walmart in Pearland, TX is seeking an experienced HVAC/R technician to oversee installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of supermarket refrigeration systems, walk-ins, and rack units. You will supervise field teams, mentor junior technicians, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.

The role includes managing parts, vendor relations, and service schedules, with on‑call rotations to support critical needs after hours.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• Or 6 years in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration with AAS.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling (Type I/II or universal).
• HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• 1 year experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling, or Walmart store work.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems and related components.
• Leads diagnostics and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Manages rack systems and supermarket refrigeration units for optimal performance.
• Ensures OSHA and EPA compliance and maintains records and logs.
• Trains technicians and coordinates on-call service during incidents.
