Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R technician to oversee installation, commissioning, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance of supermarket refrigeration systems in our stores across Maryland. You will manage walk-ins, rack systems, and refrigeration units while ensuring OSHA and EPA compliance.

3 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal).
HVAC-R/Mechanical journeyman where required.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems in commercial environments.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
Manage preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Maintain refrigerant inventories and ensure EPA compliance.
Coordinate field teams and mentor junior technicians.
Process service documentation and maintenance logs; capture before/after photos.
Respond to on-call incidents and provide timely escalation when needed.
