Job summary

Jobot in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a highly skilled Permanent Senior HVAC/R Technician to join our Engineering team. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC/R and refrigeration systems while applying knowledge of Building Automation Systems.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, a HVAC/R certification, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety. Candidates should be comfortable on-call and collaborating with engineers to improve energy efficiency

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair, with emphasis on commercial/industrial refrigeration systems.
Experience with Building Automation Systems installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
Strong mentoring abilities and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC/R systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC/R equipment and systems, and recommend solutions.
Install and configure Building Automation Systems to optimize energy efficiency and performance.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations for HVAC/R systems.
Collaborate with engineering to design and implement new HVAC/R systems and modifications.
Provide guidance to junior staff and promote continuous learning and improvement.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspection, and repair work.
Stay updated with HVAC/R technologies and industry trends to improve systems and processes.
