Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R Technician in Bastrop, TX to oversee installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of supermarket refrigeration and grocery rack systems. You will lead field teams, troubleshoot complex HVAC/R issues, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and IAQ requirements.

The role involves hands-on supervision, on-the-job training for technicians, and participation in on-call rotations to support critical operations across stores.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Commercial driving record with no major convictions in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Maintains preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
• Manages refrigeration units and rack systems for optimal performance.
• Maintains safety and EPA compliance; adheres to OSHA, IAQ, and cold chain standards.
