Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration in Alvin, TX. This role focuses on leading installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC/R systems to ensure safety and reliability across facilities.

The position requires extensive HVAC/R experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to mentor field teams while managing service operations and on-call rotations. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration with AAS in HVAC an option.
Hold and maintain Type I/II or Universal EPA refrigerant certification.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record as required.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems including ductwork and refrigeration units.
Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Manage refrigerant handling per OSHA/EPA and HVAC/R codes.
Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training.
Maintain parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service schedules.
