Job summary

Sharon Public Schools in Sharon, MA is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician / Building Maintenance Technician to perform skilled HVAC maintenance and repair across municipal and school facilities. This role also handles general building maintenance tasks and assists with security and inspections.

Required are a MA Refrigeration Technician License, EPA 608 Certification, and 3–5 years of commercial HVAC experience. A valid driver’s license and CORI screening are required.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License and EPA 608 certification are required.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial HVAC systems, equipment, and controls.
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (Zenergy, Stellar, pneumatic controls).

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment and related systems.
• Inspect, repair, and replace components across town facilities and schools.
• Coordinate work with Facilities leadership and ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist with building security, inspections, and other duties as required.
• Read prints and operate ladders, lifts, and other equipment safely.
• Respond to emergencies and support snow emergency operations.
