Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• EPA certification required.
• Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Experience with refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with single systems and rack systems; display cases and walk-in boxes helpful.
• Must have a good driving record and be able to work independently.
• Emergency on-call availability is required.
• Lift up to 60 lbs. and able to sit/stand for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repair and overhaul of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to meet customer needs.
• Repair and overhaul equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing malfunctions and deficiencies.
• Test systems and components; maintain legible work records and tickets.
• Provide support by picking up, delivering, and installing cases; assist with minor construction or startups of new installations.
• Operate company vehicle safely and perform other duties as assigned.
