Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a skilled HVAC/refrigeration technician to join our team. You will repair and overhaul refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems across varied clients, ensuring timely, accurate service.

A strong candidate has 5+ years in commercial refrigeration, EPA certification, and a valid driving record; on-call shifts are required. We offer competitive compensation ($30-$40 hourly DOE) and extensive benefits including education/training, health plans, 401(k), and annual bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA certification required.
• Vocational/technical or trade school certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Experience with convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with single systems and rack systems; knowledge of display cases and walk-in boxes helpful.
• Good driving record; able to work independently.
• Emergency on-call availability is required.
• Must lift up to 60 lbs and sustain hours of standing or sitting.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to meet customer needs efficiently.
• Service equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices safely.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical/mechanical methods.
• Maintain legible work history records and process job tickets promptly.
• Assist with pickup, delivery, and installation of cases.
• Support minor construction and startup work for new installations.
• Drive company vehicle safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
