Job summary

Universal Orlando is seeking an experienced HVAC/R technician to perform advanced diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems across the campus. The role requires troubleshooting PLC-driven controls, tuning BMS set points, performing precision calibrations, and ensuring safety and reliability in a high-availability environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in commercial/industrial HVAC/R with building automation, PLCs, boilers, chilled water, and DX systems.
• Experience with VAVs and data center HVAC; 1+ year in theme park operations preferred.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification and a valid Florida driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex servicing on HVAC/R systems including PLCs and electronic controls.
• Troubleshoot and optimize walk-in refrigeration systems with PLC-based controls.
• Interface with third-party contractors and program BAS/BMS set points.
• Populate Maximo with asset PM plans and support parts procurement.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor HVAC Tech II/III staff.
